Shhhhh...Directions!!!

From  101 south - we have no idea.       From 101 north, after Novato take the San Antonio Rd exit, go back over freeway, right on the access rd (parallel to freeway), go a mile then left after the bridge, then go 1.2 miles and left at 963 San Antonio Rd.  Look for inflated miniature cows and cowprint balloons.  Maybe even a sign.  After the bridge stay right - 3 times - until you see several houses on the left & a couple barns straight ahead. Park. Follow the pilgrimage, or take the shuttle.

Greetings Chilla Nation!

Folks weʼre in the home stretch! Just 10 days until Cowchilla / Cinco. Itʼs time to get excited! As we zero in on the 5th installation, we recognize there are some newbies mixed in alongside our grizzled Chilla veterans. So we thought weʼd take a moment and offer up some unsolicited tips on having a good C5.

And if you have friends (you know - the kind of friends with which youʼd want to spend a beautiful day listening to music, sipping wine and eating ribs - that kind of friend), please nudge them to RSVP as well. Just take them gently by the shoulders and point em to www.cowchillacinco.com

Layers, people, layers. Bring a sweater or sweatshirt. Early May in Petaluma - itʼll get cool after 4pm. Comfortable shoes that can tolerate a bit of dust.

Maybe consider Leather Chaps.  You could totally pull that look off.

Bring a reusable water bottle if you like. There will be lots of beverages - adult and non adult - but weʼll also have some watering stations to refill those expensive designer bottles. And we already look forward to seeing a select few in the lost and found Sunday morning.

Earplugs. This one is hard for us to suggest - as it is difficult to believe anyone would want to muffle the hard-earned sounds we hope to produce for you. But that said, C5 will sometimes rock hard, and we want you to be comfortable.

Be aware of your surroundings. In particular, be aware of the semi-local species known as Hair Force One. They are not difficult to recognize; they are heavily-muscled, generally well-served, and can be identified by their distinctive cranial plummage; the unnaturally-colored 80ʼs metal wigs and Top-Gun era sunglasses. They are not typically dangerous but take extra care to keep small children and lapdogs out from underfoot.

Directions. If youʼve been out multiple years - you know the drill. And as usual we will send out a note a day or two before - to all that have RSVPd - with directions as well as the beloved Lionel Ritchie-themed directions video. For general planning purposes - C5 is in southwestern Petaluma.

Cash Money. Would be good to bring some. This year we are going to sell the Merch at a merch table. All the proceeds still go to the First Responders Resiliency. But weʼll set the shirts up as though we are grown-ups, rather than balling them up and throwing them at you. This year there will be a multitude of styles to choose from. Full Disclosure - weʼll almost certainly set a few aside for hurling at you.  There will also be clearly marked donation boxes for FRR sprinkled throughout camp, as well as QR Codes pointing to FRR and Starlink supporting you. But why wait? donate NOW - show confirmation to get your merch.

Food. We will have a lot of it - consisting of delectable ribs, sausages and later evening hot dogs (Thank You True Story Foods!), grilled vegetables and the amazing foods from Tacos don Pepe. That said - if you want to bring your own thing to accommodate your spring colonic cleanse, by all means you are welcome to do so.

ʼThe only rule is to keep your cool.ʼ - Eddie Vedder.

While Eddie still has not responded to our invitation 😠, we nonetheless admire his simple advice. Watch out for each other, show someone some unprovoked kindness. We know that kind of sentiment isnʼt all that en vogue these days - but itʼs intrinsic to what Cowchilla is.

May 2 2026 RSVP!
